Twins in Canada - Silver Lake
Twins Éowyn and Max on Silver Lake in Port Carling in the Muskoka area
Silver Lake is a great place to take a tour boat or watch the steamship RMS Segwun ply its way through through the locks and the drawbridge in the centre of Port Carling. The original Port Carling locks were started in 1869 and completed in 1871. This allowed steamships to travel freely between Gravenhurst and Rosseau, bypassing the Baisong Rapids; it also allowed The Muskoka Navigation and Hotel Company to expand its fleet, which opened up Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph to resort-going visitors and new settlers. On even numbered years Port Carling is the home of the Muskoka Lakes Association Antique Boat Show
