Originally carved in 1839, the Indianapolis Central Canal was drained and rebuilt in 1989 and exists today as a mecca for joggers, family strollers, bicyclists, paddle boat riders and visitors to the many various museums and other attractions in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.
